![]() Once G-Sync was enabled, the laptop produced a consistent 65 fps. When the feature was disabled and all the other settings were set to high at 1080p, the minimum fps was 35 and maxed out at 82 fps. To put G-Sync to the test, I played Batman: Arkham Knight over the course of an hour, toggling the technology on and off. The anti-ghosting tech allows for faster color transitions in variable rate environments for near-instant rendering that produces smoother graphics overall. ![]() Variable Overdrive is another G-Sync benefit. In other words, fans of fighting games or multiplayer first-person shooters should be pleased. G-Sync also cuts down on input latency, the delay between entering and executing a command. Doing this eliminates annoying screen tearing effects or motion blurring incurred during normal gameplay movements such as making an abrupt turn. The new addition synchronizes the panel's refresh rate with the graphics card, capping the resulting frame rate at a consistent level. The X7 Pro-Sync is one of the latest gaming laptops to include Nvidia's G-Sync technology, a godsend for gamers who play titles that rely on fast reflexes. The Dominator Pro attempted to keep up at 34 fps, while the G751JY turned in an unplayable 20 fps. When set to very high at 1080p, the laptop delivered an impressive 63 fps, shattering the 28 fps average. The X7 Pro-Sync continued kicking ass and taking names on the Metro: Last Light benchmark. The ASUS G751JY or the MSI GT72 Dominator Pro (each powered by a single Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M GPU) mustered just 89 and 86 fps, respectively. The laptop roasted the 66 fps desktop replacement average during the BioShock Infinite benchmark, scoring 128 fps on high at 1080p. On high, I saw an average of 55 fps, which increased to 65 on normal. That jumped to 42 fps when I disabled HairWorks. The laptop delivered an average 36 frames per second when playing Witcher III. If anyone have any questions please feel free to ask?I wasted no time putting the spurs to the X7 Sync-Pro, cranking the settings to ultra and enabling all of the effects, even HairWorks, Nvidia's technology to render more realistic-looking hair and fur. It does come at a price though having a full beast of a laptop being capable of running anything like a desktop and i know its not for all but its exactly what i was looking for. The best thing for me (being a usual desktop gamer) is its on the move, grab headset mouse and charger and there you go, casual satellite reign in front of the TV while watching boring Chelsea lose again, setups some comfortable place for some competitive dota or some hardcore battlefield. I would however not run it at full load for longer than 2-3 hours at a time, but that's just my opinion. I also did not run it at 100% all the time so heat levels never caught my attention but when i did it didn't bother me that under heavy load the machine does get a tad hot. Spent most of the last week on the machine, i wear a decent headset so fans did not in the least irritate me. but overall this is a beast with everything you throw at it, i would say, as stable as a desktop performance. As all reviews, the machine has its fair share of troubles, loud fans, gets hot, not the best speakers etc. Always been an hardware enthusiast but never been n big front runner of mobile hardware (although I have a sony z4 tablet and dell xps 13).įirst impressions are, what a machine, build quality excellent and performance unheard of in my spectrum for mobile performance. So I took the plunge and bought the Aorus x7 pro sync.
